With over 21 years of experience in the field, Dr. McMakin graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 2010. As the co-owner of The Apothecary Room, she is widely respected by both patients and healthcare providers for her exceptional customer service and deep pharmaceutical expertise. Dr. McMakin is always happy to answer questions and provide personalized solutions to meet each patient’s unique medical needs. Her attention to detail, coupled with a genuine passion for helping others, ensures that every individual receives the highest quality of care. Whether it’s through customized compounding, medication therapy management, or simply offering a listening ear, Dr. McMakin is dedicated to making a positive difference in the health and lives of those she serves. 

As the senior pharmacy technician and co-owner of The Apothecary Room, Marina has over 13 years of experience working in pharmacy. She now specializes in sterile and non-sterile compounded medications. She is a nationally certified pharmacy technician and trained in compounding by PCCA and ACA. Her attention to detail ensures a positive experience here at The Apothecary Room. She has a passion for patient care and can't wait to help you with your pharmacy needs! Marina is passionate about delivering compassionate, personalized care and takes pride in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for every patient. With over 10 years of experience in the field, Dr. Hyam graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 2023. Although newly licensed as a pharmacist, Lexi brings hands-on experience in the field, having worked in various pharmacy settings throughout her education and training. This strong foundation has equipped her with a deep understanding of medication management, pharmacy operations, and the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care. She is passionate about educating patients, collaborating with healthcare providers, and finding practical, personalized solutions to complex medication needs. Her background includes experience in both retail and compounding pharmacy, allowing her to support patients with everything from routine prescriptions to custom medication formulations.

As a licensed pharmacy technician with one year of hands-on experience in both retail and compounding pharmacy environments, Ayana has developed strong skills in preparing compounded medications, maintaining accurate records, and supporting pharmacists in daily operations. She takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring each patient receives safe, timely, and respectful care. She is eager to continue growing in the field and contributing to a team dedicated to quality and patient well-being.

Gabby is a newly licensed pharmacy technician and proud to have recently been accepted into The Ohio State University’s Pre-Pharmacy program. She is on track to graduate in 2031 with a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. She is hardworking, enthusiastic, and genuinely excited about the future of pharmacy. She enjoys learning new skills every day and thrives in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. Her passion for helping others and interest in medication therapy show her eagerness to grow in this field and make a meaningful impact in patient care.
